Spacious: Studio apartments even have the ability to look spacious, when laid out in the right manner. Avoid excessively large furniture in small spaces that will crowd the apartment and make it appear smaller than it actually is. Minimal furniture can be placed in rooms to make the room appear more spacious. Also furniture can be placed against walls and not in the middle of the room. These apartments are all about have space to walk around and also to look at everything that is on display. If the room is laid out well, even the most minute pieces and details will be seen and appreciated by guests.
Another problem you will face are the walls plainly painted in white or other dull colors. If you are not allowed to repaint the walls, one of the best things you can do to solve the problem is to hang pieces of artwork. This will create a livelier effect on the walls. Mirrors also work effectively as focal points and can make your room look bigger than its actual size. Hang them near the entrance of your home or in the hallway if you have one.
If you are relocating to a new area, finding a place to stay is the most important thing on your list. A new place means you may be unfamiliar with the lay of the land and might not know where there may be apartments for rent. Thankfully, there are many ways to find out which complexes are full and which ones are not.
Choose some art for your walls -- the bigger, the better. Wall art can add some drama to your apartment decorating scheme. If your apartment complex has a rule against nail holes, hang your art with a removable adhesive which is easy to pull off later. That way, you can take it all down when you move without leaving any marks.
